Since being established in 1988, Spring Valley Labs has sold hundreds of highly pedigreed Labrador Retriever puppies to every corner of the 4-State region. We take pride in hearing the stories about our pups as they enrich the lives of their new family, forging life-long bonds rooted in loyalty, companionship and service.
The Labrador breed is often heralded as being intelligent, compassionate and passive, while also very protective. Genetically, the parents of our pups displayed an aptitude early on for retrieving and confidence in water. As well as being exposed to, inoculated and comfortable with the sights and sounds of gunfire, an advantage of residing in rural Southeast Kansas. Some of our pups have also been trained and certified for arson investigations and cadaver recovery.
We have experienced first-hand the joy and positive benefits of being dog owners ourselves. Beginning with a trio of males; Pike, Catcher and Moose, each of whom took part in numerous excursions whether it be hikes, river outings or running alongside an ATV on the short trips down to our family pond -- and more than earned their merit by retrieving countless numbers of waterfowl in freezing temperatures, only to balk at the notion of calling it day. Not to leave out many of our spectacular females that were present for those same hiking adventures, river outings and pond trips, along with mothering litters of healthy, well-nurtured pups, time and time again.
Currently, we have one male, Angus, and three females, Kacee, Cricket and Heidi, that are continuing to meet the high expectations left by their predecessors. It's clear to see that the Spring Valley Labs family has been extremely blessed to enjoy such incredible companions, past and present.
